There are a lot of fat burners filling the market making it more and more difficult to choose which one to buy. There are aggressive stimulants, not so aggressive and those that claim not to stimulate at all.
After Hours claims to be one of those. It’s also the first ever fat burner I’ve seen to be taken at night before sleeping.
However, looking deeper into the list of ingredients, I can see already this might cause some problems.
Let’s have a closer look and see if it’s the right fat burner for you.
Benefits of XCESS After Hours
In the words of XCORE, this fat burner claims to be a;
- Non-stimulant fat burner
- Powerful thermogenic action: Green Tea, Green Coffee, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-Carnitine
- Helps control appetite
- Provides mood support
“To keep your cravings and mood in check, this formula was enriched with powerful compounds, such as Cocoa extract, L-Tyrosine, 5-HTP, Niacin (vitamin B3) and Ginkgo biloba, among others.” – XCORE
Let me clear things up because this fat burner seems to contradict itself constantly.
1st – It claims to be a non-stimulant fat burner but it contains traces of Green Coffee Bean, Cacao, and L-Tyrosine all known to cause stimulating effects.
2nd – It helps to reduce food craving, I’m not sure why this is important if they recommend to take it at night. While you sleep, there will be ingredients working here that could be better used through the day.
I have a feeling this supplement doesn’t know what it is. It’s confused!

However, large doses are required for it to work effectively and little human studies have been done to prove this a worthwhile ingredient for fat loss.
L-tartrate – Also similar to L-Carnitine. It acts to promote the release of fatty acids for energy. It transports the long chain fatty acids in your body and oxidizes them, i.e. burns the fat for energy. It’s also responsible for creating ATP, and is known to have antioxidant properties.
Ginger Extract – Ginger has been used fo centuries for its medicinal properties. It helps to boost the immune system, create a thermogenic effect and increases blood flow.

Side Effects of XCESS After Hours
It claims to work by stimulating numerous fat burning effects at night while you sleep. However, they claim to be a non-stimulant fat burner, that is totally wrong as it contains Green Coffe Bean Extract, Cacao, and L-Tyrosine which have all been shown to create stimulating effects.
So if you’re sensitive to any kind of caffeine, taking this before bedtime will only keep you awake. The less sleep you have, the less likely you are to lose weight.
How To Use
Unlike most fat burners, XCESS After Hours is designed to be taken before bed. Take 4 capsules ever night before bed.
Where Can I Buy It?
You can buy it from team.xcore.de and a number of online stores.
How Much Does It Cost?
It costs $36.62 USD for 120 capsules
It does contain some useful ingredients that have been proven to help stimulate fat loss. However, not enough research has been done on ingredients such as CLA which has only been tested in laboratories and not on humans.
Also, it claims to be a non-stimulant fat burner. But looking at the ingredients it contains Green Coffee Bean extract, Cacao, and L-Tyrosine which are known to cause stimulation of the brain, not ideal if you want to sleep at night, which is when they recommend to take it.
