Ingredients and how they work

The list of ingredients below are made up of natural and safe ingredients that are contained in our positive ingredients list, but on the other hand, there are also ingredients here that we highly recommend avoiding due to their aggressive nature such as Citrus Aurantium.

To compensate these aggressive ingredients, Focus T5 uses calming, and relaxing ingredients, for example; L-Tyrosine to off-set these possible negative effect.

Vitamin B6 – 2.6 mg

Vitamin B6 is a crucial ingredient that has many benefits, such as it has the ability to regulate hormones, increase the absorption of food and nutrients in the body, along with releasing energy.

Chromium – 100ug

Chromium is an essential mineral that’s required for healthy bodily functioning. It regulates glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, helping you to process foods such as carbohydrates better.

Caffeine – 200mg

Caffeine works to stimulate the nervous system and increase energy levels. It also works to stimulate your metabolism, helping you to burn excess calories in small amounts.

L-Carnitine – 200mg

L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is involved in energy metabolism and mitochondrial (cells within the body) protection. However, fat loss will not occur unless the you are severely deficient in L-Carnitine.

L-Tyrosine – 200mg

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is used to produce noradrenaline and dopamine, helping you to feel good. Supplementing with this ingredient appears to have an anti-stress effect, but there is no direct link to fat loss when taking this ingredient.

Capsicum – 100mg

Capsicum works to increase the bioavailability of other supplements and nutrients in the body – it’s closely related to red peppers, but there is no direct link to fat loss and this ingredient.

Citrus Aurantium – 100mg

Citrus Aurantium also known as Bitter Orang Peel is a highly aggressive ingredient used to stimulate the central nervous system and adrenal glands. The effect will result in a slightly raised metabolism, but at a cost. Numerous studies have shown it causes side effects such as anxiety, heart palpitations and vomiting.

Green Tea – 400mg

Green tea is a well-known supplement that helps to create a sense of wellbeing, along with supplying your body with an antioxidant effect. It also raises the metabolism, promoting a fat loss effect.

Naringin Extract – 100mg

Naringin Extract also known as grapefruit, has an effect on removing fat within the body in small amounts when used with polyphenols (dried spices, fruits, vegetables, red wine, and cocoa).

Black Pepper Extract – 5mg

Black pepper extract works to increase your bodies temperature, thus, forcing your body to work harder at regulating its temperature, meaning you’ll burn more calories.

Side effects

Side effects may range from dizziness, vomiting, and anxiety from the use of Citrus Aurantium.

This ingredient has been widely used to stimulate the adrenal glands, and promote a higher metabolism, but in some cases, this comes at a cost.

Over stimulating the adrenal glands could also lead to a burn out and possible weight gain. Too much adrenaline causes an increase in cortisol within your body, thus, making it harder to sleep, relax, and lose weight efficiently.

How to use

It’s recommended to take Take max 2 capsules per day. Take 1 first thing in the morning, with a large glass of water (ideally at least 30 minutes before breakfast).

Then, take the second capsule 30 minutes before lunch. Each bottle comes with 150 capsules, a two months supply.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Contains single measured ingredients.
  • Uses some natural fat burning thermogenic properties.

Cons

  • Uses Citrus Aurantium, an aggressive stimulant known to cause side effects.
  • Contains ingredients that are no use to fat loss (wasted money).

Conclusion

In our conclusion, we can see this fat burner does contain some useful ingredients that’s in our positive list of fat burning ingredients, but on the other hand, Focus T5 also contains some that may be harmful.

Citrus Aurantium plays a big role in many fat burners on the market – this does not mean it’s safe, far from it, it just means manufacturers are not looking at healthier, and more efficient options for long term fat loss.

Focus T5 also contains ingredients such as Capsicum where there has been no direct link to efficient fat loss, meaning, your efforts, and money could be used more wisely with another fat burner that contains more researched ingredients.

Overall we give Focus T5 a 3/5 rating.
