If you’ve entered your 30s and your testosterone levels have started to decline, then Alpha JYM might be the answer for you. We’re talking about a testosterone booster aimed at men who struggle with low T-levels.
Containing optimal dosages of several highly-studied ingredients, Alpha JYM looks like a promising supplement for anyone who’s looking to boost their male hormone.
But is Alpha JYM really that good? And most importantly, does it come without negative side effects? Don’t worry, we got you covered with answers to these questions, and more in this review!
Let’s take a look and see if its the product you need.
About Alpha JYM
Alpha JYM is a testosterone booster produced by JYM Supplement Sciences, and is formulated by well-known Doctor Jim Stoppani. On the first glance, the supplement looks quite promising.
Its benefits include;
- Supports a healthy Testosterone/Estrogen balance
- Helps maintain natural testosterone production
Okay, so far, so good. Those don’t sound like some over-the-top claims by JYM Sciences.
However, in order to see if this testosterone booster actually works, we’ll need to look at its number of servings, and ingredients first.
How to use Alpha JYM
There is no simple or fancy way of taking Alpha JYM – you’ll have to correctly time your doses to reap its full benefits.
The Alpha JYM label reads that you’re to take 3 capsules of the product, twice per day. Now, this is where it gets tricky; on non-training days, you should take one serving in the morning and one serving at night.
But, on the training days, you’ll need to take a serving of Alpha JYM an hour before your workout, and one in the morning or at night, depending on when you train. On top of this, you should take this product with a meal for maximum benefits.
Why You Want Multiple Servings in a T-Booster
I know, just by reading the use instructions you’ve probably gotten a headache! But hey, although this might not be the most convenient way of taking a supplement, it’s actually quite effective.
See, when you take a testosterone booster multiple times per day at a specific time, you increase its benefits. Not only does it stay in your body for longer, you also get more of T-boosting ingredients from multiple servings.
This is a good effort by Alpha JYM’s manufacturers. However, it would be better if they included even more servings. The best testosterone boosters we’ve come across have 3-4 daily servings, while Alpha JYM only has 2.
Still, this doesn’t make Alpha JYM a complete write off – we’ll see how good it actually is by looking at its ingredients.
Alpha JYM ingredients
It’s good to see Alpha JYM doesn’t use any proprietary blends. This is important because you always want to know how many of each ingredient you’re getting. Again, thumbs up for Alpha JYM here!
But there are some major concerns. Alpha JYM contains high doses of DIM, an ingredient which can promote estrogen production at doses higher than 100mg. Also, there are a few key T-boosting ingredients missing, such as D-Aspartic-Acid, Zinc, and Vitamin D3.
Let’s take a closer look:
Fenugreek Seed Extract (50% saponins)
Fenugreek is an Arabic plant supplemented by people for its anti-diabetic and libido-enhancing properties. Not only that, Fenugreek also works to promote the production of testosterone in healthy adult males. A must-have ingredient in a testosterone booster!
Damiana Leaf Powder
A wild woody plant native to Central America, Damiana is shown to block the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. This is good, you want to keep as much of your testosterone as possible – this will ultimately help you get that ripped and muscular look.
We have to admit, our research team was shocked to see the high dosage of DIM in this product. Let me explain why…
DIM is actually a pretty safe and good ingredient when taken in doses lower than 100mg. It’s shown to be an effective aromatase inhibitor, blocking the conversion of testosterone into estrogen.
However, when taken in doses over 100mg, it has shown to produce a counter-effect – blocking your testosterone, and instead allowing for the production of more estrogen. When you see that Alpha JYM has a whopping 250mg of DIM per one serving, it just makes everything that much worse!
Ashwagandha Root Extract
Ashwagandha is a powerful adaptogenic herb, which not only boosts your brain performance. It also enhances your sex drive, and is shown to have some minor effects on testosterone.
Tongkat Ali Root Extract
Tongkat Ali is a flowering plant that works to enhance the production of testosterone within your body.
While its name might sound fancy, Quercetin is actually a pretty common ingredient in many foods you eat. It’s most abundant in foods such as apples and onions, and can even be found in red wine.
Quercetin works by blocking the enzyme UGT2B17, reducing the excretion of testosterone when you urinate.
Like with many supplements, there are users who like this product, and those who don’t find it effective at all. Let’s have a look at what some of them had to say:
“It seems very low quality, I have not noticed any difference at all ever since taking it daily.” – Zeeshan
“Takes time but it works.” – Mark Hedrick
“Not the results I expected. No significant change according to the claims.” – Amazon Customer
Side effects of Alpha JYM
There were some users, like Lorenzo Roque, who reported negative side effects from taking Alpha JYM. The user said; “Was getting lightheaded and a bit dizzy on this. Took it for 3 days as stated by directions.” After 3 days, Lorenzo had to stop taking Alpha JYM as the symptoms got worse and worse.
Other side effects users reported from taking Alpha JYM include;
- Extreme Fatigue
We’d suggest starting with only one serving of this product, and see how you feel. If you can tolerate one serving, then try increasing the dose and see if you experience any of the above-mentioned side effects. If you do, make sure to report to your doctor before taking any more of the product.
Avoid supplement side effects!
Pros and cons of Alpha JYM
- Contains several T-boosting ingredients
- No proprietary blends
- Good price – $34 for a 1-month supply
- Missing key ingredients for increasing testosterone – Vitamin D3, DAA, Zinc, among others.
- Reported negative side effects in some users
- Contains high doses of DIM which has been linked to increased estrogen levels
Conclusion to Alpha JYM
So, to conclude this review, is Alpha JYM the testosterone booster you need? First off, we’re talking about a solid supplement. It has several good t-boosting ingredients, contains multiple servings, and there are many positive reviews about it online.
That being said, there are also some concerns. The biggest one is the high dose of DIM in Alpha JYM, which might be troublesome for your testosterone levels. This isn’t proven in everyone, so there is a chance you might not suffer any negative side effects from taking DIM.
Still, why take the risk? Sure, if you’re one of those people who lives by the saying “you only live once,” then Alpha JYM might just be the product for you. But if you want safe, and at the same time, effective results, then do your research before choosing this one.
